GSPP introduces a new MPP and MPA in Sustainable Development Track in Spring 2025!

Starting from Spring 2025, the Graduate School of Public Policy at Nazarbayev University will offer its MPP and MPA students a new track in Sustainable Development. Due to the challenges of the modern age, sustainable development has become a critical concern for public policy and public administration. This interdisciplinary track is designed to equip students with a better understanding of how sustainable development can be integrated into public policies and provide insights into actions that can be taken to promote its implementation.



SDSN Kazakhstan will be part of a SNAPP-funded Resilient Rangelands Project


We are pleased to announce that SDSN Kazakhstan will be part of a Science for Nature and People Partnership (SNAPP)-funded Resilient Rangelands Project! Together with other institutions comprising conservation NGOs, herder associations, university researchers, and the UN FAO, we will help explore the ways to optimize the management of Kazakh and Mongolian rangeland ecosystems to harmonize objectives of nature conservation and agricultural development. The project outputs will result in spatial plans and management options to guide project delivery and provide evidence to develop supportive policy frameworks at the national level.

First MIND Accelerator at MNU


On August 16, 2024, Maqsut Narikbayev University and the Public Project Office of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a presentation of the public report of the first MIND Accelerator - SDG IMPACT REPORT 2024. The MIND Accelerator is an initiative aimed at accelerating the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Kazakhstan.

SDSN Kazakhstan is featured in the UN SDSN 2024 Networks in Action Report 2024!


The 2024 Networks in Action (NiA) report presents the impact that our networks have had in the world over the past two years (2022 - 2024) – from their efforts to localize the SDGs in their countries; engage with knowledge institutions and youth; improve education for the SDGs; promote viable solutions initiatives; and develop their publications, events, and actions.

OPPORTUNITIES


Horizon Europe accepts applications from research institutions to find partners for joint projects


Please be informed that the EU's Horizon Europe Program accepts information on finding partners from scientific organizations of Central Asia to collaborate on joint projects.

Our partner institution ACBK is looking for a Senior Specialist for their SNAPP project!


Senior Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting the research group to achieve its objectives. They will assist with the research process, compile and analyze social and environmental data, organize stakeholder workshops, and assist with the management of the project.
